Finding my Niche

Posted on May 27th, 2009 in Class work by Baby Girl

For some people finding a niche is easy, for others it is a little bit harder. I know what I like to do but I don’t believe that it has anything to do with this class. I love to go hunting and fishing with my dad and go to the lake and have a good time. I like to croshay and read books. I also like to have fun with my friends and listen to music. I believe the only niche I Would have on this cyberworld would be threw the books I am reading. I am going to collage to become a business owner. My parents own their own business right now and that’s what I’m planing on taking over once I’m out of collage and everything. I have been working for my parents scene was about 10 or 11 years old in their stores. I like to work with people and interact in things. I believe my niche will be with the books i read though. So i will be talking about that most of my blog entries from now on. I am reading at this moment the 5Th and 6Th books in the series of Vampire Diaries. The link is for L.J. Smith which is the author of this series and the next book that I plan on reading is the series of hers called Night World. Vampire Diaries is about this girl Elena and she falls in love with a vampire. This vampire is not like his brother or all the others you hear about. He calls himself a vegetarian. He dose not drink human blood he only drinks animal blood. The girl that changed him into a vampire fell in love with him and his brother and when she couldn’t choose which person she wanted she killed herself. Stefan thought he would never love again untilhe met Elena. It is a compelling story with a love triangle in it that gets broken then it starts again with another girl. Because his brother comes to this new town where Stefan has moved and turned Elena into a vampire himself. It is a very interesting book and i encourage you to read it. In this series the vampire diaries the books are: The Awakining, The Struggle, The Fury, Dark Reunion, The Return, and Nightfall. That is the books in this series so far.

My Top 10 Authors

Posted on May 26th, 2009 in Class work by Baby Girl

L.J. Smith- Is an amazing author. She has written the series Vampire Diaries, The secret circle, The Forbidden Game, Night World, and many more. She is a very intense writer. In her books that I have read I did not want to put them down. They are action packed and very good.

Stephenie MeyerIs the writer of the famous book series Twilight she also has a book out that does not pertain to the series and it is called The Host. It is a very good love story and it is very anticipating.

Jerry B. Jenkins Is the writer of The Left Behind Series. These books gives a view of what it will be like when Christ will come back. They take regular people like you and me and put them in situations that we would never thing about. These books are breathtaking.

Tim LahayeIs the author that helped out with The Left Behind Series. He helped Jerry B. Jenkins with writing these amazing books. He was the co writer as you could say.

Rachel CaineWrote the book the Glass Houses. This book is about this girl that is one year ahead of everybody else in school. She is very smart and can get by but she still acts like a kid. She finds herself wanting to get out of the dorms of collage life and so she finds this house with the glass all around it. The people that live there are strange but they are looking for another roommate and it is at a cheap price.

Ellen SchreiberShe is the author to the series Vampire Kisses. These books take u on a journey u will never want to come back from. They are very intense adventures that you feel like you’re the actual person going thru things. She goes on a journey that will take your breath away.

Scott Westerfild- Uglies Trilogy is what this author came up with. It is a book about how when you are young you are very ugly then when you become 17 you are the most perfect human. Everything on your body is perfect. You have to right skin town the right hair the right color eyes and everything. It will have you wanting more with every page you read.

Daniel Handler- This author wrote The Series Of Unfortunate Events. They are a series about three very scared little orphans. They lost their parents one day in a fire at their house so they have to move in with their dreadful uncle that they have never heard of. They soon found out that he was very cruel and they think that he caused all of these horrible things to happen because of the fortune that the kids were going to inherit from their parents.

Anne Frank- Is a compelling story about this girl named Anne Frank. This is her diary, she was writing it while hiding in an upstairs apartment of a store while Hitler was taking over. Her and her family was Jewish so they had to hide from the people and solders. She had fun but she had to be silent during the day.

John Grisham- is an author about laws and juries. These are very good books. My favorite book of his would have to be the run away jury. It is a story about a jury that has to sit in a Cort room and listen to a trial about a cancercase from smoking cigarettes. They thought it was just going to be a one day trial but it turned into days then weeks very quickly. They started to get antsy because you cannot see anyone or talk bout the case outside of the jury room.

Kids Are Smarter Than We Think

Posted on May 19th, 2009 in Class work by Baby Girl

I have read this article called Kids are smarter than we think.  It is about how we need to stop babying kids when they are in primary school. If we keep this up then for generations to come we will not be as smart as we are now. If we start giving them a bigger vocabulary when they are small. If we talk to them normal and do this they will learn a lot quicker. Kids minds are like a sponge they learn quicker than older kids.

Adopt a Word

I adopted the word riviation at Save the Words. This word riviation means fishing. I will defiantly use this word. My dad and me are big outdoors people so we go riviation and hunting. When I go there this summer we are planning on going riviation. Riviation is a way to get away from the world to me. It is very peaceful and relaxing. Most people I know don’t like it because they are impatient but I believe that it teaches you great patients. That is why I picked riviation.

Third World Countries

Posted on May 14th, 2009 in Uncategorized by Baby Girl

I think it is important for the people of the United States to learn about other third world countries. I also think it is important for us to help the people in those countries that is less fortunate than us. We are very spoiled in this country. Just think you were an eight year old kid and you had nothing but dirt to play with and all you had to sleep on was maybe a quilt if even that. Your mother was proud of the little hut that you have and she goes outside to sweep the dirt that you call a yard because she is proud to have that little bit of land. This happens every day to someone and they are proud and we take all of our technology and air conditioners for granted. We get to listen to music and we get to do things like start a blog when they don’t even have a phone and they have to walk to talk to other people. We need to help these people get into this century.

Movie review about: Hotel Rwanda

Posted on May 4th, 2009 in Class work by Baby Girl

We have just watched the move Hotel Rwanda in our class. The director is Terry George and he did a fantastic job on the details of the movie. It is a very moving and touching story about Don Cheadle which plays Paul in the movie. He has a wife which is Sophie  which is Tatiana in the movie. Nick Nolte plays Colonel Oliver in the movie. This movie is good for entertainment but it is also good for information. There was very much blood shed when this went on. This movie goes to show you that just because white people come in and try to make it better don’t always mean that it is going to get better. Rwanda was a healthy place to be before the other people came in and separated them by the way they looked. This goes to show you that looks are not everything and that you do not need to judge people on what they look like but what they can do in life.
